Below is the response we received from the South Florida Museum, after many people called and sent emails protesting the sale and destruction of the ancient Pillsbury Mound in South Florida. Thank you to everyone who took the time to make a call or compose an email! It is a testament to what we can accomplish together.

Please be assured that, contrary to what you may have read in the newspapers or on the Internet, we will permit NO desecration of the Pillsbury Mound, nor will we relinquish ownership of it for any purpose other than long-term preservation by a qualified agency or organization.

An Absolute Disgrace!!
The prehistoric Native American Pilsbury Mound is being sold for $200'000 by the South Florida Museum because it doesn't fit their "mission", allowing the site to be legally developed. Contact details for the SFM can be found here, I encourage everyone to protest.
